Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within the city.
Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.
The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- The strong character and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the family.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Planners tables.
